Dr. Haspel received his Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University in 1992. As part of an NIH-funded Medical Scientist Training Program, he received a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Rockefeller University in 1999 and an MD from Cornell University in 2000.
Following medical school, he completed an internship in medicine and a residency in Clinical Pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He received his fellowship training in transfusion medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
